Adaptive Data Hiding Based Telephony Speech Enhancement

Public telephone systems transmit speech across a limited frequency range, about 300–3400 Hz, called narrowband (NB) which results in significant reduction of quality and intelligibility speech. This paper proposes fully backward compatible novel method for bandwidth extension NB The uses adaptive data hiding technique to provide perceptually better wideband signal. spectral envelope parameters are extracted from the high components signal existing above NB, then spread by using spreading sequences, embedded technique. information is at receiving end reconstruct Theoretical simulation analyses show that proposed robust quantization channel noises. log distortion test clearly reconstructed gives much performance terms when compared conventional methods employing hiding.
